THE GALLERY
Nigel Grounds's paintings are rich in warmth
and colour, reflecting the strong light which is
common on the west coast of Scotland.
His sweeping, wide brushstrokes show a
confidence in his chosen medium and a
thorough understanding of the subject matter.
The Gallery is located near the Armadale-Mallaig ferry port in the picturesque region of Skye known
as Sleat. Commonly known as the 'Garden of Skye' due to its extensive areas of lush woodland,
displays of wild flowers throughout the year and some of the most spectacular views of
the Cuillin mountain range, Knoydart and the Isles of Eigg and Rhum.
